Meta’s AI agent Muse, which is about a month old, is quickly becoming the company’s biggest consumer AI investment yet. At the annual Connect event in Menlo Park, CEO Mark Zuckerberg emphasized Meta’s commitment to Muse during his keynote speech. The Muse agent, represented by its physical avatar Jolly, aims to manage daily tasks by linking with users’ apps and services, such as email and calendars. Zuckerberg unveiled a range of novel features and combinations at Connect to enhance the functionality and embed Muse further into the routine activities of its users. If the user desires, Muse will be omnipresent, even on their Meta AI glasses. Having debuted in early September, Muse communicates seamlessly across a user’s devices and digital profiles. Meta claims its AI assistant is superior to rivals, providing users with increased accessibility to automate mundane tasks. According to Zuckerberg, Muse is the cornerstone of their vision for the platform, as he began a keynote speech wearing khakis and a black T-shirt which read “Building is My love Language.” “In the future, I anticipate Muse evolving into a ubiquitous personal superintelligence, utilized by billions to achieve objectives and enhance well-being.” Zuckerberg is confident that Muse will generate revenue for its users, and eventually for Meta. “We support this by offering Muse for free to a vast number of tokens, with the expectation that we will earn a small commission from transactions in the future,” he stated.
