Cyera agrees to acquire Oasis Security for $1B to safeguard proliferating AI agents

In Summary. Published:. 5:09 PM Pacific Daylight Time, July 28, 2026. Cyera, a data security firm that recently secured $600 million in funding at a valuation of $12 billion, declared on Tuesday that it has signed a letter of intent to purchase Oasis Security for roughly $1 billion. The transaction is anticipated to be predominantly financed through cash, with the remainder being Cyera shares. Oasis Security specializes in safeguarding non-human identities, such as artificial intelligence agents. With the increasing number of AI agents, businesses need to implement cybersecurity software to monitor their behavior and authorize access to other software. Oasis, established in 2022, has raised approximately $195 million from Accel, Craft Ventures, Cyberstarts, and other investors. The rising demand for cybersecurity providers protecting organizations against AI-powered threats is evident. Cyera, which shares investors Accel and Cyberstarts with Oasis, has been acquiring companies, including Index Ventures-backed Ryft and less than one-year-old Genie Security. Following these acquisitions, Cyera intends to merge Oasis’s technology into a single identity and data security platform. Despite recently exceeding $150 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR), Cyera is still far from profitable, as reported by TechCrunch last month. The five-year-old firm has acquired approximately $2.3 billion in overall financing.
