WINT appoints real estate veteran Michael Colacino as chairman of the board of directors

The leading provider of water management solutions strengthens its board of directors heading for rapid market expansion
NEW YORK, Feb. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — WINT Water Intelligence, a leader in cutting-edge water management and leak mitigation solutions for construction, commercial, residential and industrial applications, announces the strategic expansion of its board of directors with the appointment of Michael Colacino as chairman.

Colacino joins WINT to support its growth plans in its mission to help organizations prevent costly water damage and improve their sustainability efforts. Currently serving as President of JLL’s Tri-State Brokerage, Michael was previously president at Savills Studley, where he managed one of the largest tenant representation practices in the U.S. He brings over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry to the board and will be instrumental in helping WINT elevate its presence and position in the industry.
“WINT’s goal is to leverage our AI-powered technology to conserve the world’s most valuable resource and save properties from the pain and costs of water damage,” said Alon Geva, CEO of WINT. “We’re excited to have Michael join our journey. His deep experience in real estate will prove invaluable to WINT as we work to provide the best water management solutions possible to commercial and residential properties. With his background in representing both tenant groups and owners, Michael’s guidance on the board will accelerate our mission and reach in the largest metropolitan areas.”
Geva added that Colacino’s vast understanding of property technology (PropTech) and his robust experience in the sector allow him a unique grasp of WINT’s vision and goals.
“After 30 years working in real estate, I’ve seen first-hand the magnitude of physical damage water can cause in a building, let alone the loss from interruptions in business operations and the need to move and reimburse tenants,” Colacino said. “WINT’s groundbreaking ability to use AI and IoT applications to quickly identify a leak, shut off the water at its source, detect waste and notify the facility team in real time has the potential to waterproof the entire built environment. I’m thrilled to join WINT’s expansion and help affect a globally critical change in our industry’s future.”
