LOWER TAXES FOR SENIORS

Early Wednesday, Pierre Poilievre took to X to announce the Conservatives would allow working seniors to earn up to $34,000 tax free, which is $10,000 more than now; allow seniors the option of keeping savings growing in RRSPs until age 73, up from 71; and protect OAS, GIS and CPP by keeping the retirement age at 65.

WHERE THE LEADERS ARE WEDNESDAY

After his campaign kickoff in Atlantic Canada, Liberal Leader Mark Carney brings his tour to Ontario on Wednesday, touching down in Windsor to deliver remarks and make an announcement at 9:15 a.m.

That’ll be followed by a visit to an automotive factory for a 10 a.m. photo op, followed by a second appearance later in the afternoon at a facility in London, ending the day with a 7 p.m. rally in Kitchener, where he’ll deliver remarks joined by local Liberal candidates.

The Conservatives will unveil their new campaign plane at Hamilton Airport Wednesday morning, holding a photo op before the aircraft departs for Quebec City to meet party leader Pierre Poilievre for a noon-hour press conference in Montmagny, followed by a rally at 6:30 p.m.

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh’s itinerary indicates that he will be in southern Ontario again today, beginning with an announcement at a seniors recreation centre in Hamilton. He is set to end the day with a campaign event in London.
