TV customers whose plans include free access to streaming services can now upgrade to commercial-free streaming from the My Spectrum App or Spectrum.net by paying only the retail price difference between the “with ads” and “without ads” versions. Additionally, Internet-only customers can use these same digital tools to add streaming apps to their Spectrum plan on an a la carte basis.
The enhancements are part of Spectrum’s Seamless Entertainment experience, which combines live TV with the most popular streaming services at no additional cost, along with a convenient all-in-one way to watch on the Xumo Stream Box. The upgrade to ad-free streaming benefits Spectrum TV Select customers, all of whom already receive ad-supported streaming apps with their video package. Those apps include AMC+ with Ads, Disney+ Basic, HBO Max Basic With Ads, Paramount+ Essential, ViX Premium With Ads and Peacock Premium with Ads, with more apps coming soon, including Hulu (With Ads) and ESPN’s forthcoming streaming service – a retail streaming value of more than $100 per month. For Spectrum Internet-only customers, this marks the first time a digital, self-service option has been available to add streaming services to their Spectrum account.
