Peel Regional Police say STEP (Strategic Tactical Enforcement Policing) team officers were conducting a “proactive patrol” in the area of Derry Rd. E. and Torbram Rd. on Feb. 22 when they attempted to stop a vehicle and the driver took off.

Following a “thorough investigation,” a man and a woman from Pickering were arrested on Monday.
