The YouTube star-turned-boxer and the Dutch Olympic speed skater announced the big news in a joint Instagram post Saturday, which featured photos of the proposal, which took place the day before in Saint Lucia.
With the beautiful scenic backdrop of the island’s famous Pitons, the couple stood amongst an arrangement of candles and white flowers at Jade Mountain resort with the ground covered in petals.

The carousel of photos shows Paul proposing to a surprised-looking Leerdam, while another snap shows her jumping up and down in excitement.
Another picture shows her holding out her hand to show off her new bling — featuring quite the sizable rock.
To top things off, the couple celebrated the occasion by tossing some flower petals in the air
“We’re engaged,” Paul captioned the post. “We can’t wait to spend forever together.”
On Sunday, the happy couple shared a video of the proposal, soundtracked by Lana Del Rey’s Young and Beautiful.
Paul captioned that with “The most magical day of our lives” and included the March 21, 2025, date.

Paul and Leerdam aren’t the only people apparently happy for the occasion — the original post has racked up more than 1.4 million likes on Instagram since Saturday.
The pair met when Paul messaged Leerdam in 2023 to invite her on his podcast. Later that year, the two became Instagram official, with Paul posting two photos of them hand-in-hand and captioned the carousel with “I’m Dutch now” and tagged Leerdam.
While a wedding certainly is on the agenda now, late last year Paul revealed the couple’s big plans for their professional careers.
Paul told The Hollywood Reporter in October that he and Leerdam are hoping to reach the top of their respective fields in 2026.

“So, in two years, Jutta gets a gold medal and I win the world championship. We’d be world champion at the same time,” Paul told the outlet of his plan to capture the cruiserweight boxing title while Leerdam — who already boasts an Olympic silver — goes for gold at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan.
Paul, who rose to fame through his exploits on social media, starting out on the now-defunct Vine and moving to Instagram, has turned the boxing world upside down since first stepping into the ring in 2020.
Last year, his controversial match against boxing legend Mike Tyson set records for its gate at AT&T Stadium, the home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, and drew 108 million viewers on Netflix.
