Cops are on the hunt for a gunman after a shooting victim was rushed to hospital in the city’s north-end Weston neighbourhood.

Toronto Police said they responded to the incident just before 6 p.m. on Wednesday in the Weston Rd.-Lawrence Ave. W. area after multiple shots were heard in the vicinity.

A victim was located with undefined injuries and taken to a hospital via an emergency run.

Weston was closed in both directions at Lawrence as police continued their investigation.

Police said they are on the lookout for the suspected shooter, who they described as a Black male with a medium to heavy build and short hair. He was wearing all-black clothing.
