DCSO: Nutrition services employee at Mountain Vista High School arrested on child-sex charges

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (KKTV) -The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) is asking for anyone with more information to come forward after they said a Douglas County school nutrition worker has been arrested for several child sexual assault charges.According to the sheriff’s office, 35-year-old John Michael Beccia Jr. of Highlands Ranch was arrested following a tip that he possessed child pornography. During the investigation, deputies said they found additional evidence that led to more criminal charges. DCSO said he is facing charges of aggravated incest, sexual exploitation of a child and sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust.According to the sheriff’s office, Beccia has been employed with the Douglas County School District’s Nutrition Services since November and has served as an assistant kitchen manager at Mountain Vista High School.The Douglas County School District has been notified, and he has since reportedly been placed on administrative leave.Deputies said Beccia is being held at the Douglas County Detention Facility on a $100,000 bond.At this time, DCSO said no Mountain Vista High School students have been identified as victims.If you have information related to this investigation or believe you know someone who may have been a victim, you are urged to contact Douglas County Detective Clay at sclay@dcsheriff.net.Copyright 2026 KKTV.
