The National Home Show returns with celebrity design experts, along with new features, including an immersive blueprint experience and a Laneway Block Party.

“Perhaps more than ever before, now that the pandemic years are behind us, we’re excited to observe the way in which Canadians are looking to invest in their nests,” says Colin McAllister of design duo and TV hosts Colin + Justin.

“The National Home Show is leading that charge with a mixture of big names and big ideas coming together under one roof to help feather our nests. The organizer’s most ambitious show to date, it promises to serve inspiration and information in equal measure.”

Together with Justin Ryan, he’ll bring ‘Escapology: How to Turn an Everyday Home into a Real Life Getaway’ to the show. “Continuing the journey that started with our bestselling book ‘Escapology,’ we’re focused on encouraging Canadians to put a little more indulgence into their homes in terms of passion and personality,” Ryan says.

“As seasoned cottage builders with many years of experience, we see that vacation homes are often more passion projects than city homes, so we’ll be bringing some of that passion into the city.”

The show brings together more than 500 vendors and experts, with offerings that range from small space living to aging at home, products and services for energy-efficiency and building resilient homes. Attendees will find presentations, resources and advice to get inspired and get started on renovations, DIY projects, backyard and gardening improvements, and more.

The Enbridge Main Stage will feature some of Canada’s leading industry experts in home design, renovation and gardening, including Home Network’s Kortney Wilson and Kristen Coutts; Homeful and Cottage Life TV’s Mike Holmes, Sherry Holmes and Kimmberly Capone; Breakfast Television’s resident green thumb Frankie Flowers; and design icons Lynda Reeves and Aly Velji.

The Food & Decor Street features a new shopping zone dedicated to tasty treats, handcrafted wares, bespoke home décor and unique pieces for entertaining.

At the Big Ass Plans Immersive Experience, digital projection mapping technology from Big Ass Plans transforms blueprint drawings into an immersive digitally projected space in true-to-life scale. Homeowners can walk through every inch of their design plans as if they’re standing in the actual floorspace, seeing the size of fixtures and the placements of cabinets.
